WEIGHT

15-35 lb

LIFESPAN

10-15 years

HEIGHT

12-13 inches

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a beautiful small well tempered and social dog that undoubtedly is a contender for the title of "top tail-wagger."

The Cavalier King Charles spaniel is easy to keep. Ideal as a family dog or as a companion for "empty nesters," the Cavalier loves to cuddle and has been described as the perfect lap dog. Although these dogs have a proclivity for noisy greetings, Cavaliers generally are not protective. Regular grooming is key to keeping the Cavalier's coat lustrous. Little more than a thorough weekly brushing is required, in addition to routine bathing and professional trimming as desired. Light shedding, which occurs in the spring and fall, generally arouses little notice.

CAVACHON

WEIGHT

15-20 lb

LIFESPAN

10-15 years

HEIGHT

12-13 inches

The most commonly used adjective to describe Cavachons is "happy." Charming, fun-loving and friendly, these little dogs crave affection and attention and love to cuddle up in your lap. Although they tend to bark at strangers, they adore meeting new people and making friends quickly and easily.

Gentle and easy-going, Cavachons tend to get along well with children and other pets, especially if socialized from a young age. Their keen intelligence and eagerness to please make them easy to train. However, they tend to have short attention spans, so training sessions should be kept short, fun and positive in order to be effective.

Cavachons are best suited to living indoors and do well in homes with or without yards, making them a good choice for apartments. Their non-shedding, hypoallergenic coats make them a good match for mild allergy sufferers, while their easy-going personalities, middle-of-the-road energy levels and high trainability make them great dogs for novice dog owners as well as for seniors.

LIFESPAN

HEIGHT

The Cavapoo is a mixed breed dog, a cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle dog breeds. Energetic, outgoing, playful, and curious, these pups inherit some of the best traits from both of their parents. Cavapoos go by several names, including Cavadoodle and Cavoodle.

Cavapoos vary in size and are considered to be small to medium, depending on the size of the Poodle parent. Most weigh in at nine to 25 pounds and range in height from nine to 14 inches at the shoulder. That said, many can be smaller or larger.

The best part, this medium-to-large-sized cat has few health problems.

A playful, affectionate, intelligent cat, the British Shorthair is fiercely loyal and a good companion for single people. Regular brushing of the British Shorthair is important, especially during seasonal changes when the coat is thickening or thinning. LILAC BRITISH SHORTHAIR

Lilac British Shorthairs possess a combination of grey, blue, and pink tones on their coats. Their fur is present in mixed variations, from cold lavender to warm pinkish grey. This colour is actually a chocolate cat with the dilution gene. This gene reduces the pigment in the fur so the chocolate ends up looking lilac.

The tips on their noses and paw pads blend with the appearance of their fur. While their eyes are bright, orange-copper, or amber in colour.

These make for some of the most intriguing British shorthair kitties.
